Latvenergo Group is the leading and environmentally friendly producer of electricity and thermal energy in Latvia. The Group has a balanced energy generation portfolio, consisting mostly of hydropower plants (HPPs) and highly efficient combined heat and power plants (CHPPs). Most of the electricity and thermal energy is generated by the three Daugava HPPs and two Riga CHPPs. Energy is also generated by generation facilities in Liepaja, Aiviekste HPP, Ainazi Wind Power Plant (WPP) and Kegums Boiler House.
The total installed electrical capacity at Latvenergo Group generation facilities is 2,569 MW, exceeding 85% of the total installed capacity at power plants in Latvia. The installed thermal capacity of Latvenergo Group thermal energy generation facilities is 1,842 MW. In 2017, the facilities of Latvenergo Group generated 5,734 GWh of electricity and 2,612 GWh of thermal energy.

Latvenergo Group is one of the most environmentally friendly electricity producers in the European Union. In 2017, 75% or 4 301 GWh of its electricity output were generated from renewable energy sources, mostly water.
